Jonas Singer, Executive Director

Executive Director Jonas Singer brings a strong non-profit management and community organizing background to CFEF. With a focus on operations details and innovations, Jonas is dedicated to making CFEF the national leader in providing financial education to invidiuals of all ages and backgrounds through inventive methods of education delivery and creative partnerships.

Jonas is a native of Washington, D.C. where he returned to get his Masters in Government and Public Policy from Johns Hopkins after getting his B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to joining CFEF, Jonas served as the Deputy Director of the Financial Literacy Foundation for 1 year and the Deputy Director of the Reviving Baseball in Innercities program for 4 years.

As executive director, Jonas has achieved some notable accomplishments with CFEF. In early August, CFEF became the fiscal agent and lead external partner for Bank on DC, which the organization operates in partnership with the Washington, D.C. Mayor's office.

Under Jonas, CFEF is focused on providing services both locally and nationally, leveraging online resources to scale up financial education to companies and individuals around the country. These online tools comprise a fully developed system for data capture and analysis, allowing us to better understand consumer financial behavior. This understanding helps us to deliver the right education and the right products to the right consumers at the right times.
